Globe GS30 Scale Operating Instructions

These directions are for Globe GS30 and GS30T scale models.
NOTE: In order to extend the life of the scale display, be sure to turn the scale off at the end of the day.
Weighing Single Items
Before operating the scale, make sure that nothing is on or touching the weigh platter.
Zeroing The Scale
- Step 1. Plug in the scale - If the scale isn’t connected to a power source, plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
- Step 2. Turn the scale on - Power on the scale by pressing the ON/OFF key. A beep will then sound, the display will flash three times and then another beep will sound. Once this happens, the display will show all zeros and the ZERO and STABLE indicators will be illuminated.
- Step 3. Zero the scale - If the display doesn’t show all zeros, press the ZERO key to zero the scale.
Entering The Tare Weight
- Step 4. Enter the tare weight - Place a container on the weigh platter and press the TARE key to save the setting. Then, remove the container from the scale. This will illuminate the TARE indicator light and the weight of the container will display as a negative number.
- Step 5. Enter the tare weight for a lighter container - To enter the tare weight for a container that is lighter than the previous tare setting, first press the TARE key to set the display back to zero and then follow the directions in Step 4.
Weighing And Pricing An Item
- Step 6. Key in the price - Enter the price by using the numeric keys.
- Step 7. Weigh the item - Place the food item on the weigh platter. The display will show the weight, unit price and total price.
- Step 8. Remove the item - Once the item is weighed and priced, remove it from the weigh platter.
- Step 9. Enter a new unit price or tare weight - In order to change the unit price and tare weight stored in the scale, press the CLR key to clear the unit price and then press the TARE key to clear the tare weight.
- Step 10. Turn the scale off - Press the ON/Off key to powder down the unit.
Weighing Multiple Items With A Cumulative Total
Although the scale will display the total price, the unit will neither display nor store the individual prices.
- Step 1. Add prices into the memory - Follow the same procedure as outlined in Steps 1-9. Before removing the item, press the ADD key to add the price into the memory. The display will show all items added and the cumulative price.
- Step 2. Clear the totals - To clear the totals, press the CLR key.
