E1: Cabinet Temperature Is Too High
- The cabinet doors are open - Close the doors.
- Warm or hot food placed in cabinet - Remove the food from the unit. Return the food once it has cooled down.
- Surrounding air temperature is too high - Don’t place the unit near heat-producing equipment or in direct sunlight.
E2: Cabinet Temperature Is Too Low
- Surrounding air temperature is too low - Place the freezer in an area where the surrounding air temperature is between 41°F to 109°F (5°C to 43°C).
- Frozen foods are being defrosted in the cabinet - The error code will disappear once the food product has defrosted and the temperature inside the cabinet has returned to normal.
E3: Defrost Cycle Is Taking Too Long
- Control board has ended the defrost cycle - Call a technician to correct the issue.
E4: Compressor Discharge Pressure Is Too High
- Condenser filter may be clogged - Clean the filter, turn the power “OFF” and then turn the power “ON” again to reset the unit.
E7: Condenser Filter Is Clogged
- Condenser filter might be dirty - Clean the filter. Once the filter is clean, reset the unit by turning the unit “OFF” and then “ON” again.
E8: Defrost Thermistor Is Defective
- Defrost thermistor is defective - Contact a technician to replace the defrost thermistor.
E9: Clogged Filter Thermistor Is Faulty
- Clogged filter thermistor is faulty - Call a service technician to replace the thermistor.
EA: Write Error Alarm (Defective Controller Board)
- Controller board is defective - Schedule an appointment with a licensed technician to solve the issue.
ED: Read Error Alarm (Faulty Controller Board)
- Controller board is faulty - Contact a technician to remedy the issue.
