A Southbend Range 1172181 Fitting redirects flow through connected lines to maintain a secure, efficient connection within the system.
The fitting directs the flow path through a tight turn while securely joining a 1/4" Inside NPT connection to a 3/8" compression line within the equipment. Its 90-degree configuration supports proper routing in limited space and the brass construction matters because it provides durability, corrosion resistance and a dependable seal under normal operating conditions.
The fitting may need replacement if the equipment shows leakage, pressure loss or inconsistent flow through the connected line. Physical signs can include cracks, thread wear or deformation and environmental signs may include corrosion, mineral buildup or discoloration caused by heat, moisture or exposure to cleaning chemicals.
