Should you be looking to evaluate an actuator, the most effective way is to connect a multimeter to one of the leads and monitor the readings as the rod extends and retracts. In order to get the most accurate readings for the actuator’s current consumption, be sure to use this method.
Is There a Way to Reset an HVAC Actuator?
The approach outlined may differ based on the actuator brand and type involved. When it pertains to blend door actuators, simply remove the unit and adjust the climate control settings to high heat. Then, manually adjust the blend door shaft until you can feel the max heat flowing through the vents. Finally, reinstall the actuator and put everything back in place securely.
