Lighting the Oven Pilot on a Southbend S Series Range
Step 1—Turn the thermostat to the OFF position.
Step 2—Turn off the manifold shutoff.
Step 3—Open the bottom kickplate.
Step 4—Turn the gas valve to PILOT and depress the knob.
Step 5—Push in the lighter switch.
Step 6—Turn the knob on the safety valve to the ON position.
Step 7—Turn on the thermostat.
Lighting the Burner Pilot on a Southbend S Series Range
Step 1—Turn the manifold to the OFF position.
Step 2—Remove the grate and light the burner.
Step 3—Examine the pilot carefully to make sure it’s fully lit.
