Learning how to change temperature set points on a Randell prep table is important if you have to troubleshoot your unit. If you need instructions, this guide provides step-by-step directions on how to adjust the rail and drawer set point temperature using a Danfoss controller.

These directions are for Randell 8000-290 and 9000W-290 series prep tables.

Instructions for Changing the Set Point

It’s recommended that rail temperatures be at 21°Fahrenheit (-6°Celsius) or less and fridge base temperature be between 33-40°Fahrenheit (0.6-4.4°Celsius). It’s also recommended to only make changes in 2°Fahrenheit (1.1°Celsius) increments and to wait 24 hours before making another adjustment.

  • Step 1. Access the set point - Press and hold the up arrow to access the set point temperature.
  • Step 2. Raise the set point - Once the set point starts flashing, you can increase the temperature by pressing the up arrow.
  • Step 3. Lower the set point - To decrease the set point, press the down arrow when the temperature is flashing.
  • Step 4. Confirm the new set point - No action is needed. After 30 seconds, the unit will confirm the new set point and the display will automatically change to show the current temperature.
