How to Disassemble a Robot Coupe R2 Properly
Preparing food is crucial in a commercial kitchen. That’s why many foodservice establishments rely on the Robot Coupe R2. This commercial food processor can slice, shred and chop all sorts of ingredients with ease. When you’re getting ready to clean the machine, proper disassembly is crucial. Below are instructions for how to disassemble a Robot Coupe R2 correctly.
Removing the Bowl Attachment
Below are steps for disassembling a bowl attachment properly.
- Step 1. Unplug the machine – Start by turning off the machine and unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Step 2. Remove the bowl lid – Turn the lid to the left until the tabs are unlocked from the bowl. Once the lid is unlocked, lift it off.
- Step 3. Remove the blade (if applicable) – Carefully rotate the blade until it’s loose. Then, lift it off the motor shaft.
- Step 4. Remove the bowl – When you remove the bowl, make sure the motor base if facing you. Start by turning the bowl clockwise to unlock it. Then, turn the bowl to the right as you lift it up from the base.
Removing the Continuous Feed Attachment
If the continuous feed attachment is connected to the R2 processor, here is how to remove it correctly.
- Step 1. Unplug the machine – Start by turning off the machine and unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Step 2. Remove the pushers – Take the pushers out of their respectful openings in the continuous feed lead.
- Step 3. Remove the continuous feed lead – With the motor base facing you, turn the lead slightly clockwise and then counterclockwise to loosen the lead. Then, lift the ramp of the lead off the continuous feed attachment.
- Step 4. Remove the cutting and discharge plates – Rotate the cutting disc until it’s loose and lift up. This will give you access to the discharge plate. Similar to the cutting disc, slightly rotate the discharge plate to loosen it. Then, lift up to remove.
- Step 5. Remove the continuous feed attachment – Start by turning the continuous feed attachment clockwise to unlock it. Then, turn the bowl slightly counterclockwise as you gently lift it up from the motor base.
Removing the Vegetable Prep Attachment
If the vegetable prep attachment is connected to the R2 processor, below are proper disassembly instructions.
- Step 1. Unplug the machine – Start by turning off the machine and unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Step 2. Remove the discharge plate – Rotate the discharge plate to help loosen it from the motor shaft. Then, lift the plate off the shaft.
- Step 3. Remove the vegetable prep attachment – To unlock the attachment from the motor base, turn it gently to the left. With the base facing you, lift attachment off the base.
