When something is preventing the unit from working correctly, error codes such as “HA” indicate the cause so that operators can solve the issue. This list of Perlick refrigerator error codes will help you resolve issues with your refrigerator or wine fridge quickly and easily.

Perlick Back Bar Refrigerator Error Codes

Below are common error codes for Perlick models BBS60, BBR96 and others.

E1 (Compartment Probe Error)

  • Reading is out-of-range of probe operating values - Contact a technician to check the probe.

AH1 (Probe High Temperature Alarm)

Coils

  • Evaporator coil is iced over - Defrost the coils.
  • Condensing coil is not clean - Clean the coil with a soft brush and vacuum.
  • Fins are bent or damaged - Straighten the fins.

Air Filtration

  • Sealing compound does not make a complete seal - Contact a technician to remedy the issue.
  • Door gasket is damaged or not installed properly - Replace the gasket.
  • Condensate drain line / air tap is not positioned properly - Call a technician to service the unit.

Other Causes

  • Incorrect control settings - Reset to factory settings.
  • Incorrectly wired harness - Check the wiring.
  • Evaporator fan is not running - Call a technician to service the unit.
  • Probe is not connected to control - Reconnect probe.
  • Refrigeration / Charge level is too low - Schedule a service appointment with a licensed technician. 

AL1 (Probe Low Temperature Alarm)

  • Incorrect control settings - Return to factory settings.
  • Probe failure - Schedule a visit with an authorized technician to service the unit.
  • Control failure - There are multiple reasons why the control may not be working:
    • No power - Restore power to unit.
    • Incorrectly wired harness - Check the wiring.
    • No call for cooling - Replace the controller.

P1 (Thermostat Probe Failure)

  • Total probe failure - Contact the dealer.
  • Probe disconnected from control - Plug in the probe connector.

HA (Maximum Temperature Alarm)

Coils

  • Evaporator coil is iced over - Defrost the unit.
  • Condensing coil is not clean - Clean the coil with a soft brush and a vacuum.
  • Fins are bent or damaged - Straighten the fins.

Air Filtration

  • Sealing compound does not form a tight seal - Contact a technician to remedy the issue.
  • Door gasket is damaged or out of place - Replace the gasket.
  • Condensate drain line / air trap is not positioned properly - Contact a technician to reposition the line in the loop.

Other Causes

  • Incorrect control settings - Reset to factory settings.
  • Incorrectly wired harness and / or internal wiring connections - Check wiring.
  • Evaporator fan is not running - Call a technician to service the unit.
  • Probe is not connected to the control - Reconnect the probe.
  • Refrigeration / Charge level is too low - Schedule an appointment with an authorized technician. 

LA (Minimum Temperature Alarm)

  • Incorrect control settings - Reset the unit to the factory settings.
  • Probe failure - Call a licensed technician to service the unit.
  • Control failure - Reasons why the control may not be working include:
    • No power - Restore power to unit.
    • Incorrectly wired harness - Check the wiring.
    • No call for cooling - Replace the controller.

Perlick Undercounter Refrigerator Error Codes

The following error codes are for Perlick models such as the HP24Z, HP24R and others.

P1 (Thermostat Probe Failure)

  • Thermostat probe has failed - Contact a technician to service the unit.

P2 (Evaporator Probe Failure)

  • Evaporator probe has failed - Schedule a visit with an authorized technician.

HA (Maximum Temperature Alarm)

  • Maximum temperature limit exceeded for more than 30 minutes - To lower the temperature:
    • Make sure the door is completely closed - If not, close the door.
    • Check the door gasket - If it’s damaged, replace it.
    • Inspect the condenser - If it’s dirty, clean it.
    • Make sure the louvered plate isn’t obstructed - If it’s obstructed, clear the obstruction.
    • See if the interior light is on - If it’s on, turn it off.
    • Check if warm product was recently placed into the compartment - If the temperature is still elevated 24 hours later, begin the troubleshooting process.

LA (Minimum Temperature Alarm)

  • Minimum temperature limit exceeded for more than 30 minutes - To raise the temperature:
    • Check to see if the door is completely closed - If it isn’t, close it.
    • Inspect the door gasket - If it’s cracked or worn, replace it.
    • Consider the ambient temperature - Dramatic changes in the temperature outside the unit can affect the internal temperature. If the temperature is still low 24 hours later, start troubleshooting.

Perlick Wine Fridge Error Codes

These error codes are for Perlick models HC48RS4, HC48WS4 and others.

E1 (Compartment Temperature Probe)

  • Probe not firmly plugged into the digital controller - Plug in the probe firmly. 

E2 (Evaporator Temperature Probe)

  • Probe not firmly plugged into the digital controller - Plug in the probe firmly. 

AH1 (Maximum Temperature Alarm)

  • Control not set properly - Reset the control to the factory settings.
  • Light is on - Turn off the light.
  • Condenser is dirty or obstructed - Clean the condenser or remove the obstruction.
  • Frequent or prolonged door openings - Keep the door closed. If the temperature is still elevated 24 hours later, begin the troubleshooting process.
  • Internal louvers and fan guard openings are obstructed - Remove the obstructions.

AL1 (Minimum Temperature Alarm)

  • Control is not set properly - Return the control to its factory settings.
  • Door is not closing or sealing properly - Check the gasket. If it’s damaged, replace it.

OPd (Open Door Alarm)

  • Door is open for more than 1 minute - Close the door.
  • Door is not fully closed - Make sure that the door is fully closed.
  • Door plunger on the right-side is not fully depressing the door switch - Call a technician to remedy the issue.
  • Door switch harness is not firmly plugged into the digital controller - Schedule an appointment with an authorized technician.
  • No continuity across the ends of the door switch harness - Contact a technician to service the unit.

Perlick Column Refrigerator Error Codes

The following list of error codes is for Perlick CR24 and CR30 models.

P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6 (Sensor Failure)

  • Temperature or humidity sensor has failed - Schedule a service appointment with a technician.

L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6 (Minimum Temperature Alarm)

  • Minimum temperature limit exceeded - Check to see if the door is closed completely. If not, make sure the door seals the unit shut.

H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6

  • Maximum temperature limit exceeded - The unit may exceed the maximum temperature limit if:
    • Warm product is placed into the refrigerator - Check the temperature again in 24 hours: if it’s still elevated, start the troubleshooting process.
    • The door is opened frequently or for a prolonged period of time - If the door is kept shut for 24 hours and the temperature is still elevated, begin troubleshooting.

r5, r6 (Open / Disconnected Humidity Sensor)

  • Humidity sensor is open or disconnected - Call a technician to service the unit.

d1 (Open Door Alarm)

  • Door is open - Close the door.
