How to Light a Crown Verity Grill
Crown Verity is one of the top brands for restaurant or concession stands that grill outside. Once you have your new unit set up, you’ll need to know how to light it properly so you can get grilling in no time. Fortunately, we have the steps you need. Below are steps on how to light a Crown Verity grill, specifically models MCB30 to MCB72.
Grill Lighting Instructions
Follow these simple steps to light your Crown Verity grill:
- Open all lids on the charbroiler - This allows any fumes to escape.
- Make sure all knobs are turned off - Check each knob to ensure they are all in the OFF position (clockwise).
- Open the tank valve - After everything is connected and secured, open the tank valve. Wait 15 seconds.
- Turn the lighter tube (pilot) valve to the ON position - Turning this knob on will allow you to light the pilot light.
- Light the pilot light - Insert a match or barbecue lighter into the hole(s) provided on the end(s) of the charbroiler.
- Check the tube - Visually check to ensure the lighter tube is burning.
- Light the burners - Turn the individual burners on one by one. (Push in and turn to “high”) The unlit burners will then light automatically.
- Check the burners - Visually check to ensure that all burners that are intended to be ON are lit. Adjust as needed.
