P-60 Series Cleaning

Daily Kettle Cleaning

  • Step 1—Turn off the kettle, unplug the unit and allow it to cool for at least an hour. Once cooled, wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft, clean cloth.
    • NOTE—Do not use abrasive cleaners or oven cleaners. These can damage the kettle.
  • Step 2—Create a mixture of Heat’n Kleen and water by mixing 2 tablespoons of solution per gallon of water. Fill the kettle with the cleaning solution ½ inch deep.
  • Step 3—Turn on the kettle heat. Once the solution in the kettle begins to boil, turn off the kettle heat.
  • Step 4—Allow the kettle and cleaning solution to cool for at least 1 hour. Dump the cleaning solution into a bucket and then wipe the inside of the kettle with a clean cloth. Be careful when dumping the solution to ensure it doesn’t spill in the inside of the popcorn machine.
    • NOTE—For kettles that are extra dirty, you can repeat the same process, or you can let the cleaning solution sit overnight instead of 1 hour.
  • Step 5—Turn off power, unplug the unit and wipe down the kettle lead cord with a clean cloth that is slightly damp. Make sure moisture or water doesn’t get into the kettle lead cord. Let dry completely overnight before plugging the unit back in and turning on power.
